Our Craftsmanship and Form.

|
After your design has been established, the choices of carpeting are made. We use a minimun
60 ounce face weight carpets in our rugs.
For those outside of our sales calling area, we can ship samples
or you may shop the carpet stores in your area, choosing the colors, plushness & brands you prefer. |

An example of surface carving a design into a blank field. |
Surface carving adds depth & dimension to the rug.
 |
We then begin the task of inlaying your design into the field rug. The bonding method
we use has proven time again to be even more superior than the carpet backing itself, therefore
eliminating any seperations.
After the inlays are placed we then begin a very unique technique that is hard to
visualize through many of the photos. We "hand bevel surface carve" every seam insuring your
design will keep it's shape when "scuffed" over by traffic. |
|
Next the rug is backed with various materials compatable to hardwood floors,
ceramic tile floor, even over carpeting. These backings protect the floor as well as preventing
the rug from moving. Encased padding is also an option adding the same cushioned feel of
wall to wall carpeting.
Finally the edges are bound with either a woven synthetic tape binding or a luxurious 2-ply
cotton serging in colors to either match or contrast your piece. |
Luxurious cotton serging accents this piece.

|
We also offer basic carpet rebacking & carpet binding for turning remnants of your
wall to wall carpet installation into matching area rugs or floor mats for entries & other
high traffic areas. |
